Travel Information Center Seeks Volunteers

The Travel Information Center (TIC) located at the Garden City Travel Plaza is the first taste of Garden City many visitors experience. How better to serve your community than to be a visitor's first greeter? The TIC provides information for those who pass through Garden City and helps put our community on the map. Help the community of Garden City by volunteering for a few hours (or more!) a month. The TIC sees an average of 1000 visitors each month, and volunteers provide information about local attractions, restaurants, lodging, shows and travel directions to visitors. Volunteers also do a few minor tasks that help the Convention and Tourism Bureau welcome tour groups to Garden City. The TIC has a display of over 100 brochures enticing globetrotters to visit destinations all over the state of Kansas.

Volunteering at the TIC involves greeting visitors, stocking brochures, putting together packets of sunflower seeds, labeling gift bag contents, and other similar tasks.
