Subscription to The News and Views

Our monthly newsletter keeps progressive business people like you informed about what's happening in the area. It is a great read and a source of valuable information delivered to your door every month.

Relocation Packet Inserts

The Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce provides newcomer packets to anyone who is coming to the Garden City Area. These packets are requested by phone and in person. Membership in the Chamber gives you the opportunity to use the newcomer packets as a networking tool.

Business Referrals

The Chamber receives thousands of phone calls each month. People call us wanting to know what retail, manufacturing, and service businesses we are familiar with. The Chamber refers only current members. You know how valuable one good lead is. We refer business to our members every day.

Listing in the Chamber's Web Site

This World Wide Web Site provides our members with exposure all over the Earth. Customers, tourists or anyone accessing our site can pull our members up by name, category or through a search. This is a valuable benefit in today's competitive market place.

Links From the chamber's Web Site

The Chamber will link your web site to ours at no additional cost. Customers, tourists or anyone else can access your site from ours with a click of the button.

Access to Useful Information

We provide information that can help you operate your business. If you need data, we either have it or can get it for you. Demographics, statistics, current wages in our area and much more. The Chamber is the leading business information source for the area.

Grand Openings & Ribbon Cuttings

We offer ribbon cuttings and grand opening services to our members. A new business or just a substantial change (remodel or addition) in your current business will qualify. Members of the Chamber Ambassadors, our Board of Directors, and staff members will attend. We bring the ribbon, the camera, the scissors, plus you get photo coverage in the next News and Views newsletter.

Opportunities for Education

We sponsor many affordable seminars and workshops featuring top speakers to help keep you and your staff sharp. We try to bring the latest information to you here, so you can send more staff and save the travel and accommodation expense of having to travel somewhere else for quality seminars and training.

Networking

Chamber activity gives you the chance to meet new business people and new customers. There isn't a more productive place to network with business people than at Chamber functions.

Representation

Chamber staff members are often-times the only persons who attend the City Commission meetings. No one knows better than we do what is going on at city hall. That gives us the knowledge to stand up for business when we see a challenge. It also allows us to applaud efforts of our city and county commissioners when they vote pro-business. This benefit alone is worth your membership investment. The Chamber also monitors (through the Legislative Committee and contacts in Topeka) legislation that affects businesses in our area and communicates our positions to our legislators.

Solutions

The Chamber tackles tough community issues like housing and employment. Our efforts are specifically business-related, but we are at the forefront of issues involving minority relations, beautification of our community, education that produces employable kids and many others. See the Business Agenda to see what we are working on today.

Economic Development

Economic development is what we do everyday. Greeting new people to town and referring them to you. Working with our local businesses to find employees, market on the Internet or just do a better job with their retail advertising. Fighting to keep our air service. We are in business to serve our members anyway we can. We work with the Finney County Economic Development Corporation to recruit new industry to the area and to ensure that we keep the valuable companies that we already have.

Committee Participation

Many people want to get involved with their community -- but can do without the glaring spot light of media coverage. Getting involved with Chamber committees and task forces is a perfect way for a busy person to impact Garden City and Holcomb. We are sensitive to your time and most meetings last 50 minutes or less.

Chamber Plaque

We are proud to have you as a member. We provide a handsome membership plaque to all members when they join. Each year when you renew your membership, you receive a new year designator to indicate that your membership is current. People notice.

Marketing Opportunities

We offer our members a number of opportunities for marketing. See the marketing page.
