The Chamber Ambassadors recently toured the new High School. They are pictured here reviewing the safety instructions before entering. The Ambassadors are hosting the October 13th Business After Hours so please mark your calendars!

Work is being done to save the Windsor Hotel. The first phase of the Heritage Trust Fund Project is underway and is scheduled to be finished at the end of August. Shoring is being put in place for stabilization of the building. Stay tuned for info on the Haunted Tours to be held in October!

New turning restrictions went into effect at J.C. Street and Kansas Avenue beginning August 2. On the north side of Kansas Avenue, signage designating southbound J.C. Street as "Right Turn Only" between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. has been installed to help improve traffic flow at this location. Police will be monitoring this location and enforcing the new signage.

Nature's Way is a full service health and nutrition store. They believe strongly in education for and communication with their customers. They offer their employees continuing education both with reading material and teleconference classes. They are active in the community and in national associations and participate in the Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificate program. Nature's Way was awarded the 2011 Business Excellence Award from the Kansas Department of Commerce and was recognized at last week's Chamber Breakfast.
