Finney County Team Sorting - Finney County Fairgrounds Horse Palace. Everyone
welcome. There are classes for the youth, rookies and open riders with a draw pot.

Pancake and Sausage Supper - Eagles Lodge, 2603 N Taylor, from 5-8 PM. The cost
is $6.00 for pancakes, sausage and eggs. The proceeds are donated to cancer research.
Come enjoy a great breakfast for supper and support a great cause!

"Man of LaMancha" - Musical auditions 6-9 PM in the auditorium of the Pauline Joyce
Fine Arts Bldg. The musical will take place in late April. Those auditioning should
come with a prepared song to perform. House and crew positions available too. For

Pancake Dinner & Silent Auction - All you can eat pancake dinner with coffee service
and all the toppings included. In the St. Catherine Hospital Cafeteria from 5-8 PM.
The price is $7 for adults and $5 for kids (12 and under). All proceeds will go to
benefit St. Catherine Hospital. Tickets can be purchased in the Gift Nook, inside the
hospital.

2012 Brown Bag Series - The Finney County Museum will have presentations in the
meeting room at 403 S 4th, 12-1PM with refreshments provided. The presentation
will be "My Old Kentucky Home" and presented by Brian Nelson, the Finney County
Museum Exhibit Curator and Director for the Arts Center on Main. He will tell the
story of Dr. Labon H Johnson, who was a Civil War veteran, and a practicing physician
in New York when he suddenly lost his eye sight. A specialist recommended that
Johnson go west "to the wide open spaces" for his health. In 1897, he purchased
320 acres "for a song", and the land included the Old Kentucky Home. Come listen
to the rest of this delightful story.

3rd Annual Mardi Gras Celebration and Pancake Supper - Senior Center,
907 N 10th, Garden City. Bingo at 3:30 pm, Pancake Games at 4:30 pm and all you can
eat Pancake Supper & King's Cake. Open to the public at $5 for meal and one free

125th Anniversary - You are invited to the 125th Anniversary of the ground breaking
of the Windsor Hotel. This will take place at 5:30 PM in front of the Windsor Hotel.
There will be a reenactment of the ground breaking, 125 balloons launched, cake,
and tours. If you have any questions, please call Don Harness, President of the

The High School Show - A juried show featuring art created by GCHS students.
The exhibit opening reception is from 1-3 PM at the Garden City Arts, 318 N Main.

USD #457, Coordinator of Public Information. With the anticipation of the GC High School
move into the new building, there comes change, not only for the students, but for the
community residents as well. Mr. Cessna will take you in a virtual tour of the new High
School and explain the changes that will be made to better prepare, educate and provide
